Vowels and Consonants-A Brief Tutorial

Orton Gillingham Mama

Do you have parents who look confused when you use terms like "short vowels" or "consonants?" I should not be surprised by how many parents are unfamiliar with these terms, because my whole language instruction as a child never mentioned the terms to me either!

So, I wanted to create an easy-to-share video tutorial about the basics of the vowels and consonants in the English language. It is easy to digest and meant to help parents or care givers make sense of this piece of their child's literacy instruction. Feel free to share the link with your students' parents or anyone who might enjoy a refresher on the vowels and consonants in our language. Just follow the link below!
